THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Junior Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team on-site in our Ottawa office. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in marketing who wants to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas — from social media and email marketing to content creation and campaign execution.
The ideal candidate will support day-to-day marketing activities, help create engaging content, and assist with executing campaigns that build awareness and drive engagement for TechInsights.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Social Media Marketing
- Create and schedule social media posts across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other platforms.
- Monitor engagement and assist with community management by responding to comments and messages.
- Help brainstorm and execute social campaigns that support product launches, webinars, and content promotions.
- Track performance metrics and compile simple reports on engagement trends.
- Assist in building and sending marketing emails and newsletters using Pardot (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement).
- Help create and update landing pages, ensuring content accuracy and consistent branding.
- Support A/B testing efforts to optimize email and landing page performance.
- Proofread content and test links, forms, and layouts before campaign launches.
- Help write short-form copy for emails, social posts, and landing pages.
- Coordinate with designers and content creators to ensure timely delivery of campaign materials.
- Assist in creating basic graphics or resizing visuals using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and webinars.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign deadlines are met.
- Maintain marketing calendars and assist with tracking deliverables.
- Help with updating marketing assets and ensuring brand consistency across materials.
- Conduct light research to support content creation and campaign strategy.
- Provide administrative support for various marketing initiatives as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in marketing, with exposure to digital marketing, email marketing, and CRM systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or any related field
- Basic understanding of Pardot or similar marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar creative tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
