THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to support our Technology Teams by transposing Excel deliverables into Amazon QuickSight. Additionally, the role will involve exploring and contributing to the development of a QuickSight product within the Technology areas of the platform to integrate and present parts and reports data effectively.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Review existing Excel worksheets and collaborate with Technology Team members to establish requirements.
- Work with the Platform or Data team to determine the best approach for migrating data from Excel into QuickSight.
- Experiment with QuickSight to structure data in a way that meets the requirements of various Technology Teams (Compute, Memory, Sensor, Power).
- Participate in sync-up meetings and provide input on recommendations and progress.
- Incorporate feedback from Technology Teams and product owners to refine data visualizations and reports.
- Must be enrolled in a post secondary program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interest in data visualization; experience with a data visualization tools is an asset.
- Ability to collate and synthesize notes and requirements from different teams.
- Understanding of data structures is an asset.
- Interest in and knowledge of technology, including components that make up modern tech devices, is an asset.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Amazon QuickSight for data visualization and analytics.
