THE OPPORTUNITY:
TechInsights is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team and play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Our Data Analytics team is dedicated to delivering clear, goal-oriented analysis that informs leadership and supports operational improvements and future business initiatives.
In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in data analytics—from data wrangling and processing to advanced analysis and visualization—to develop and deploy impactful Tableau dashboards, reports, and data models. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure business decisions are guided by accurate, meaningful, and accessible data. Your ability to bring structure to ambiguity and communicate insights with clarity will be essential to your success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational goals, challenges, and data needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights into critical KPIs and metrics.
- Build and manage scalable Tableau and PostgreSQL data sources to support complex analytical needs.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies; perform root cause analyses and collaborate with system owners on remediation.
- Ensure ongoing data quality through continuous monitoring, validation, and dashboard reconciliation.
- Regularly evaluate and enhance existing dashboards to improve accuracy, usability, and business relevance.
- Document data models, sources, and reporting processes to support team knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to non-technical users, providing guidance on data access and interpretation.
- Share best practices, tools, and innovations with the Data Analytics team to drive continuous improvement.
- Support a data-driven culture by developing internal resources such as how-to guides, documentation, and training sessions.
WHO YOU ARE
- Expert in data visualization and reporting, with strong Tableau Cloud experience and a user-centric approach to dashboard design; experience with other BI tools is a plus.
- Strong critical thinker and problem solver with keen attention to detail; able to identify data anomalies, ensure accuracy, and drive business decisions through data.
- Highly proficient in data preparation techniques and quick to adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong knowledge of common database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL); comfortable working with data warehouses and data modeling.
- Possesses executive presence and can confidently present complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- A collaborative team player with a track record of working effectively across teams and departments.
- Self-motivated and quick to learn in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Salesforce is a plus.
- A background in statistical modeling would be ideal.
